Research task example / 03

Organise a report around its evidence

Draft an outline from research notes, connect claims to evidence and identify material still needed.

Example workflow · Not an evaluated report

Required material

A research question, existing notes, a source list and the intended audience.

Expected output

A report outline with sources for each section and a list of missing material.

Steps

  1. Identify the claims and readers' needs
  2. Map sources and check evidence gaps
  3. Draft the outline and revision checklist

Task prompt

Use my notes and source material to outline this research report. Distinguish facts, inferences and recommendations. Link each main claim to its evidence and mark unsupported points as needing evidence. Do not invent papers, data or authors. Show the outline and evidence gaps first, and wait for my confirmation before expanding it.

Limitations

This template organises writing; it is not a research result. The author must review academic standards, attribution and the final content.
